Stella's Gift

about

This new track doesn't have lyrics or voice, so here's a poem to go with it. The poem is called:

When the world decided
it didn't want to play

The fabric of time ripped in a small place,
a seam that stretched from the armpit of space to its collar
and into that unfulfilled dimensional movement
a series of sweet sounds grew like the wings of an emerging butterfly...

or maybe a moth? Or a wasp, a hornet? something that gets mad
who says butterflies don't?
they're not exactly armed and dangerous
territorial though, mating season they fray their wings as if circling a candle
just to keep their place on a leaf

its a sound thing anyway so maybe butterflies insects generally aren't the right thing...

birds?

It could be bird song, a blackbird or robin,
a caged bird,
a gull...
what kind
a sea gull?
That's not really a thing
pigeon?
Too... you know, cooey...
vultures?
Do they make noises?
Why not?

Do you want to play now?

cheers,
mac d

I've really enjoyed putting this albumtogether.
